What is Trusted Shops?
Trusted Shops combines independent shop certification, customer reviews and Buyer Protection. Its Trustmark helps shoppers identify retailers that meet defined requirements for a clear and reliable shopping experience.

Trusted Shops Buyer Protection
Up to €2,500per eligible purchase under the European scheme
Add an extra layer of financial reassurance to your software purchase. Eligible European purchases can be protected up to €2,500, subject to activation and the applicable Trusted Shops conditions.
The UK scheme offers up to £2,500 per purchase, as shown on our English Trusted Shops profile. Available protection and limits depend on your country and the option selected. Your protection confirmation shows the amount that applies to your order.

Buyer Protection addresses eligible financial losses connected with your purchase. For digital software orders, relevant situations include:
Digital delivery
Help if ordered digital content is not delivered or cannot be downloaded.
Missing refunds
Help if a refund owed under the applicable conditions is not received.
Retailer insolvency
Help if the shop becomes insolvent and you have not received your order or an eligible refund.
How to activate Buyer Protection
Complete your order
Place your order and complete payment at Digital License.
Activate your protection
Follow the Trusted Shops invitation on the order confirmation page.
Keep your confirmation
Review your confirmation and manage your protection in your Trusted Shops account.
Check that you have received your protection confirmation. Completing payment alone does not replace the activation process shown by Trusted Shops.
How long does protection last?
Buyer Protection usually runs for 30 days. Your confirmation states the exact protection period and expiry date. Report an unresolved problem within that period if you wish to make a claim.

Sign in to your Trusted Shops account, select the protected order and report the issue. Keep your order confirmation, payment details and correspondence with the shop ready, and follow the document instructions shown for your case.

How can I verify the certificate?
Use the “Verify on Trusted Shops” button. The official Trusted Shops profile shows the storefront and the current status of its Trustmark.
Are software purchases covered?
Buyer Protection can cover eligible digital-content purchases, including non-delivery or download issues, under the applicable conditions.
Who can help with my order?
Contact our customer support team for assistance with delivery, installation or activation. Buyer Protection cases can be managed through your Trusted Shops account.
Does it matter how I pay?
Trusted Shops Buyer Protection is independent of the payment method used. Your purchase must still meet the conditions of the protection you activate.
Does Buyer Protection replace product support or a warranty?
Buyer Protection concerns eligible financial losses under its terms. For software installation, compatibility or activation assistance, contact Digital License support. Product warranty cases are separate from Buyer Protection.
